Play it Smart Program Impacts E.C. Glass Senior
|
April 22, 2009
Congratulations to O.J. Robey, Principal Kevin Latham, Head Football Coach Richard Trent, Academic Coach Gavin Davis and to the E.C. Glass family. This story is truly what Play It Smart is all about.
There are 160 schools in the program across the nation and this is the second student from Lynchburg honored by the national football foundation this academic year (out of 7 National Student-Athletes of the Month). Monica Li from Heritage High School was honored earlier this year.
The foundation is proud of their success and appreciative of the donors who enabled us to contribute to this successful program.

The E.C. Glass Foundation is pleased to be associated with Leave a Legacy of the Blue Ridge
|
Leave a Legacy encourages individuals to give to non-profit organizations and institutions that have touched their lives. Their gifts- no matter how large or how small-- will make a difference in the future of our community.
High School students (grades 9-12) are encouraged to participate in an essay contest designed to provide a framework for their thinking about charitable giving. $500, $250, $100 savings bonds are given as prizes for the best essays, and each winner receives $100 to give to their charity of choice at the awards luncheon.
Guidelines and instructions are provided here and essays may be submitted by email to admin@ecglassfund.org prior to April 17, 2009.
